You didn’t know I was once an Au Pair for a very wealthy family?
Why, I do declayuh. I certainly was. However, I was not of the same caliber as Jo is. She is much more friendly and patient than I was.

And tonight, I feel as though I’m reliving those days. I unwittingly agreed to watch my friend’s two daughters, ages 6 and 3-3/4 overnight whilst she and her husband escaped the city for a couple of days.

What do you get when you pair three of your own kids who act like complete tomboys with a pair of “girly-girls”?

Much shrieking and mayhem, that’s what.

“Shriek! He’s touching me!”

“Hey-ulp! She wants my paper doll!”

“Miss Kawen? Miss Kawen? Um…(giggle)…my momma says that when I get older I can marry AJ!”

Ugh. I’m just SO not used to this.
Twirling so our hair flies out 3 feet from our bodies (yes, it’s that long) and insisting on getting the “good spot” in front of the tv so you can watch the princess movie for the 26th time.

Don’t get me wrong – I teach my girls about manners and femininity and all that, but some folks just take it too far.

I’m just sayin’…
