If you are ever visiting my house, you might hear the following song sung no less than eleventy-forty (I stole that from Boomama and Lora Lynn) times by my six year old son, AJ: (click on the arrow to play)
He always ends it with “Autobots…Transform and Roll out!” just like in the original cartoon, because that’s all he knows.
Earlier, I was thinking as I looked over at my bed piled with three loads of unfolded laundry that I could use some bots of my own. I’d call them “Laundro-Bots” and then I could say, “Laundro-bots! Transform and Fold-out!” Sounds good to me.
I’ll add that to my to do list. Along with, you know…saving the world from the evil forces of the Decepticons. ‘Cause that’s how I roll.

August 22, 2008 at 9:10 am (15 years ago)I have to admit that I secretly loved the Transformers. My favorite was the little yellow VW Beetle named Bumblebee.
But the Laundrobots would be the best ever!

August 22, 2008 at 12:43 pm (15 years ago)My son would feel right at home at your place. Transformers are his favorite things right now…Truth be told, my husband is right there with him!!!
If you had any luck with the Laundro-Bots, I’d sure get one. I have five baskets that need folded right now. At least they are clean! 🙂

August 26, 2008 at 8:25 am (15 years ago)It’s not exactly a Laundro-Bot, but have you tried SoapNuts from http://www.LaundryTree.com? They’re a super easy, economical, and ecological way to do your laundry. I discovered SoapNuts earlier this summer and love them! You can see my two comments on the Laundry Tree website when you go there. SoapNuts will make washing clothes so much simpler – you can even use SoapNuts Soak for other general cleaning jobs, combating plant pests, and even shampoo! Using SoapNuts is a great ecology lesson for the kids ,too! You’re on your own with the folding – well, how about having a laundry-folding Olympics contest with scoring using the kids as contestants?
