I love this list. My version of #8 is “Nice words or no words”. My version of #2 is “stop licking it” (the rash is around his mouth.”. I would love to her what other people’s variations on these were.

Princess isn’t old enough for 4, 5 and 9 but I have uttered every single one of the other lines you listed. #10 is the one I’m using the most right now.

    “What did I JUST say?”
    “Your job is to OBEY.”

I just love this…I said every one of these in my day, and now I am hearing these come out of my daughter.

I still get cracked up when I hear my daughter telling my grandbaby…”When you get to be a mommy then you can do it, until then you do what I say.”

Great list! As a mom I know I have heard myself say all of these in one form or another at least half a million times in the last 6 years. They warn me it doesn’t get better.

My absolute favorite Mommy Comment was from my mother to my little sister:

Sister: I don’t have to because I’m a princess and princesses don’t do that.

Mother: You may be the princess, but I’m the Queen.

as for #1, i seem to remember my mom not only hiding her ‘good’ sewing scissors, but actually putting tape on them marking them so we couldn’t claim ignorance. ha!

    love it.
