Upon closer examination (and asking the kids, who have never had those candy buttons because as a child I ate enough sugar for all of us and I don’t buy goofy things like that for them) they immediately said it’s a domino.

But I think I agree with the domino thing. Especially looking at the light reflections, they have to be concave.
